You Might Lose Your Job If You are Caught Drunk Driving In Hyderabad


Government job aspirants, as well as those planning to obtain visas for overseas employment, better avoid driving in the city in an inebriated state. With cops now checking conviction details in drunken driving and traffic violation cases during antecedent verification process, there is a good chance that the last peg you downed will cost you your dream job. Taking a tough stance, Hyderabad police commissioner M Mahender Reddy told TOI, "I have given instructions to the special branch to verify the conviction data of drunken driving offenders and traffic case offenders during background verification work and report the same to employers."



The SB team of Cyberabad is also verifying the drunken driving conviction details during employee antecedent check.

WOMEN WON'T HAVE IT EASY

Though only 62 women have been caught in DD cases since 2011, this could be due to lack of sufficient women cops in the enforcement wing. To address the issue, police will now include two women police personnel with DD teams conducting checks, especially at Punjagutta, Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas.
