#UriAttack Aftermath, Indian Journalist Asked To Get Out From Pakistans Briefing In New York

In an ultimate insult to India, Pakistan requested the removal of a journalist from the Foreign Secretary's briefing in New York. NDTV's Namrata Brar was asked to leave the room at the Roosevelt Hotel where Pakistan Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry was to address the media on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly. "Iss Indian ko nikalo (remove this Indian)," were the words used.

This was a day after the terrorist attack on the army camp in Uri which resulted in the death of 18 soldiers.

That not even a single Indian was allowed to attend that briefing reflected the sharp deterioration in ties. The terrorists were from the Jaish-e-Mohammad group and their chief Masood Azhar is based in Pakistan.

Pakistan's leaders have so far evaded questions on the attack and their Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif waved aside Indian journalists who tried to question him about the incident.

The treatment of the journalist is a clear indication of the bad blood that is brewing and the latest attack has certainly fueled it further.
