Delhi Cops Recover Nehru Dagger Stolen From Museum Within Days Two Arrested

Delhi Police's Crime Branch has arrested two employees of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library for allegedly stealing the antique dagger which was gifted to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru by Saudi Arabia, reports The Indian Express. On Wednesday night after a police raid on their houses in a slum near the Ferozshah Kotla stadium, the stolen dagger was recovered and the two members of the housekeeping staff, identified as Ramchander and Sandeep, were taken into custody.

The dagger had gone missing from the museum on Monday.

A police officer was told Times of India that the duo stole the dagger thinking it was made of gold and stole it because they planned to sort out their financial troubles by selling it.
