Will he be the next big thing for Liverpool? Yan Dhanda, a 17-year-old playmaker, has become the first player of Indian heritage to be signed by the Anfield club on a professional contract. According to a BBC report, Dhanda had joined the Liverpool academy in July 2013 from West Brom and has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Reds. The report also said that Dhanda had played for England at the under-16 and under-17 level, and also won the up-and-coming player award at the Asian Football Awards in 2013.
