A Kerala man's misadventure to click a selfie with an elephant almost cost him his life. The incident happened in on Tuesday night when a 37-year-old man identified as Sreelal tried to click a picture with the elephant which was resting after returning from a temple procession. He approached the elephant while its two mahouts were sleeping nearby after a tiring day. Sreelal tried to get the attention of the beast by offering it a banana. But the elephant who clearly didn't seem impressed took him down with its trunk and gored him on his thighs. He was saved from the jaws of death by locals who rushed to the spot hearing Sreelal's cry for help. Now admitted in a hospital he is out of danger.
