Acid attack victims have always been judged but some of the victims have changed it and have lived their life on their own terms. There are many who have dreamt of being a doctor, a photographer and even a make-up artist; Bello Calendar with association with Quartz India made up a calendar with the acid attacks survivors. Each month holds an inspiration for surviving the attacks, what they wish to become and what how they survived. Launched on this Women’s day, this calendar portrays the survival force of these women.

3. March

After a brawl with her neighbour, Sonia was attacked by two unknown individuals paid by her neighbour to throw acid on her being. Sonia was working in a beauty parlour in 2004 before the incident occurred. She now runs her own beauty parlour at home, saying that she does not need to hide because she did nothing wrong.

4. April

Neetu is Gita’s daughter. She was attacked by her father as he wanted sons instead of daughters; she lost her younger sister much after the incident. She is blind now and inspires to become a singer.
