The long-awaited first fully air-conditioned electrical multiple unit Rake (EMU) arrived in Mumbai on April 5.

The AC local may have fare structure on the lines of Delhi metro railway corporation (DMRC). Central railway does not plan to provide any concession for the season ticket for AC train journey.

Describing its features, senior divisional electrical engineer Ved Prakash said, "Equipped with GPS and micro-processor-based software system, this 12-car local has a seating capacity of 1208 and standing capacity of 4936 passengers. 108 to 112 passengers can travel in a coach.
