Canada is the best country in the world, according to millennials. It is followed by Germany the No. 2 and the United Kingdom at No. 3 on Best Country based on overall performance. The ranking was released by Washington based U.S. News & World Report, based on feedbacks from thousands of millennials (between the age group of 18-35) around the world, assessing a wide range of criteria, from dating culture to career development.

Millennials picked Brazil as the best country when it came to dating, followed by Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. India finds itself at an unimpressive 37th position in the list.

“Millennials will play a significant role in shaping national economies worldwide for decades to come. Capturing their perceptions is valuable in helping to determine the current and future possibilities of economic, political and cultural success in nations,”said Brian Kelly, editor of U.S. News.

The ranking was based on data gathered from a survey of more than 16,200 business leaders, informed elites and general citizens, the methodologies incorporate attributes such as affordability, innovation, trustworthiness and gender ratios.
