As humans we instinctively find ourselves trying to mirror the 'flawless' beauty that models, actors and singers flaunt. These icons are effortlessly beautiful in our eyes. We call them lucky for being so beautiful and sometimes find ourselves criticising them for flaunting that image which they have achieved courtesy Photoshop. Nonetheless, we always strive hard to achieve that image in our lives.
I think these instances teach us how important it is for us to stop looking for perfection, for unblemished, wrinkle-free skin, for super-glossy hair. It is not only unfair to us but also to these icons who our bound by the necessity of continuing to live this image.
Don't you agree?
