A French police dog named Diesel was killed during the counter-terror operation in the northern Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis. According to French media, the elite forces dog was killed at the very beginning of the operation, which later led to arrests and the deaths of terror suspects. “Diesel, a seven-year-old Belgian Shepherd police dog from RAID, has been killed by the terrorists during the ongoing operation,†said a statement by the French national Police.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, some apartments were raided by the Police while targeting the suspected mastermind of the Paris shootings, Abdelhamid Abaaoud.
At least five officers suffered minor injuries in the raid, some after a woman at the scene detonated a suicide vest full of explosives.
