Cristiano Ronaldo's private jet crash-landed on the runway in Barcelona after the landing gear broke on impact. The Portuguese footballer's £15-million private jet has now been grounded following Monday's mishap. Thankfully, neither the footballer nor any of his friends or family was on board when the incident happened, which prompted rescue services into action.

Ronaldo bought the Gulfstream G200 last year and sometimes leased it out to private clients.

One hopes that the footballer's contract with Real Madrid comes in soon because the cash payments to repair the plane will cost quite a fortune.
