Google Plans To Release A New OS Called Andromeda On A Nexus Tablet And Pixel Laptop

Google is planning to launch its brand new operating system (OS), 'Andromeda' that will merge the characteristics of both Chrome OS and Android. The new OS will be rolled out on 'Huawei Nexus' and a new convertible laptop. If this report by Android Police is to be believed, then Google's definitely planning to release a 'Pixel' laptop in Q3 2017 which will, in fact, run on Andromeda. Internally known as 'Bison', the project will finally combine the efforts of Google's Pixel team and the Chrome OS and Android teams.

The laptop is expected to flaunt a 12.3-inch touchscreen under the weight of 10mm that will possibly make it one of the world's thinnest notebooks ever produced.

As for the tablet, it will come with a 7-inch display screen and 4GB RAM. Though these details cannot be confirmed at the moment, people are referring to it as the 'Nexus tablet'.

Android Police has also confirmed that Google is testing Andromeda on Nexus 9 but won't be releasing it publicly.
