India Forget Students These UP College Professors Do not Have A Clue About Their Subjects

While Bihar arts topper Ruby Rai has been trolled endlessly after she couldn't pronounce 'Political Science' properly when asked by a TV reporter about her subject. Another topper, this time from science also appeared to be totally clueless about his subject. On Thursday it was also reported that Class X students from Gujarat who scored over 80 percent marks in Mathematics couldn't even answer a basic question on how many sides a triangle has? While all the fingers were pointed at the students, it turns out that the teachers are no better. This story comes from UP where two teachers were evaluating answer sheets of BA English, History and Economics at the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (ITHM) in Agra.

The evaluation coordinator at the centre grilled the two teachers after doubting their credentials. Both have valid degrees and teach in different colleges.

Shyam Bahadur, associate professor in English is working at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, while Anil Kumar Pal, associate professor in Economics, is employed at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur.

"The English teacher used wrong grammar while writing a two-line application letter seeking permission for evaluating papers. And he spelled evaluation as 'evalluation'. Shyam Bahadur also failed to answer basic questions about the subject," evaluation coordinator and ITHM director Luvkush Mishra told The Times of India.

Pal failed to explain the meaning of 'audit' and didn't know that 'IMF' stands for 'International Monetary Fund'. He thought it was 'International Money Found'.

The two teachers in question who have extensive teaching experience and have been evaluating papers for years have now been since blacklisted.
