In yet another case of selfie death, a 21-year-old girl died in Karnataka on Sunday. The incident took place in Gokarna town when Pranita Sunil Mehta was trying to take a selfie near a Lighthouse and slipped from a height of 300 metres, reported News X. She was a law student at National Law University, Jodhpur in Rajasthan and had come to Gokarna along with a group of five friends on a tour to visit the beach after visiting Mumbai and Goa, the report adds. After she fell into the sea, some fishermen were called by her friends in the vicinity for help but it was too late to save her life. Her body was later recovered from the sea. A case has been registered by the Gokarna police and her parents have been informed about the incident
