SpiceJet has reportedly sacked one of it's pilots for allegedly making an air hostess spend time with him inside the cockpit of a Boeing 737 while it was flying to Bangkok, reports NewsX. The incident occurred on-board a Kolkata-Bangkok Flight on February 28. The air-hostess was reportedly asked to sit with him again during the return flight. It is routine for air hostesses to check up on pilots from time to time to see if they need anything or if they are awake, especially during long international flights. However, in this case, the woman was allegedly made to sit in the pilot's seat and was inside the cockpit for an unusually long time. What makes it worse is that the pilot reportedly sent his co-pilot out of the cockpit, leaving the two completely alone. Upon returning, the air hostess field a complaint, after which an inquiry was initiated for serious breach of safety and alleged sexual harassment at workplace, reports Times Of India. SpiceJet has issued a statement saying, "Inquiry process is on and statement of all concerned parties has been recorded. Subsequently, the alleged personnel had been sacked The case has been informed to DGCA by our Flight Safety department and their inquiry is also on."
