We Will Soon Be Able To Travel Between Delhi And Agra By Seaplanes Win For Everyone

So Nitin Gadkari, our Union Transport Minister has really taken to Seaplanes and none of us are complaining. I mean he gave some serious push to the MEHAIR seaplane service from Mumbai to Lonavala, which sadly never took off. And now… Nitin Gadkari has admitted to plans of connecting Delhi and Agra by seaplanes via river Yamuna in the near future. It’s a plan in process as of now, but it will be a huge time saver! When they proposed the seaplane route between Mumbai and Lonavala, it was meant to be 30 minutes with an introductory price of Rs.2999. Judging by that we’re hoping it’ll be light on our pockets too!

Plans are already underway to make this seaplane journey a success.

Gadkari revealed that the three stakeholders DDA, Delhi Jal Board and his ministry will work on beautifying the river banks, making sure no effluents flow into the Yamuna and appropriate dredging work to ensure water levels are maintained.

That’s not all, there are also plans to begin hovercrafts and sea buses all over the country.

Sounds pretty enticing to me. I just hope it works out sooner than it usually does.
