3. Two girls from Tamil Nadu who married Frogs

In 2009, two seven year old girls were being forced to marry with frogs in an attempt to prevent the outbreak of mysterious diseases in their village. The girls – Vigneswari and Masiakanni – were dressed up in traditional bridal dress, gilded with gold and sareers to make it look like any other marriage in India. (Source)

4. This 9 year old girl who married a Dog

Karnamoni Handsa, a nine year old tribal girl from east India was forced to marry a stray dog in yet another attempt to ward off an “evil spell” on her, according to which she had a tooth rooted to her upper gum which is considered as a bad omen in her Santhal Tribe. The girl was then later got a divorce with the dog to allow her to marry again with a man. (Source)
