5. P Selvakumar from Tamil Nadu who married a female Dog as atonement

This 33 years old man from Tamil Nadu married a female dog hoping that the move will help lift the curse he received for stoning two dogs to death when he was 18. (Source)

6. This infant who was married off to his neighbour’s Dog to protect him from wild animal

In February 2009, an infant boy from eastern India was married off to his neighbour’s dog in an eastern state of India. The idea was to stop the groom from being killed by wild animals particularly Tigers. After the marriage the boy was still be able to marry a human bride in the future without having a need to file for the divorce. (Source)
