On February 16 Harish Nanjappa, a youth from Karegowdanahalli in Karnataka became the victim of a freak accident. While travelling on his bike from his village to Bengaluru he was run over by a truck on National Highway-4. His body was almost split in half and he lost his life in an ambulance which was taking him to a nearby hospital. But the 24-year-old had done something unimaginable and selfless, given the condition that he was in.

“Harish has sent a very strong message of turning his weakest moment into his strongest by thinking of doing good to society. He made his life purposeful even in those dying moments. It’s inspiring how he managed to do that even in that condition. I wanted to capture the aftermath of the incident and send a strong message to society on how brave a man can be even in death,” she said.

While Nanjappa might not be around any more, the message he sent out will definitely inspire a lot of others also to donate their organs a give a second lease of life to someone else.
