Updating on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaas health, Apollo Chairman Pratap C Reddy said that her infection is completely under control. Jayalalithaas infection is fully under control and now she can go whenever she feels fit, he was quoted saying by news agency ANI. He added that the chief minister can be discharged from hospital whenever she feels fit. She has to reinvigorate herself to go back, he said.

Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo hospital on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration. Later, the hospital had said she was being treated for infection with respiratory support, among others. Specialists from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and from London, among others, have treated her.

While Jayalalithaa remains the chief minister of the state, her portfolios have been transferred to party’s second-in-command and her close confidante O Panneerselvam.
