Pratyusha Banerjee's suicide case got a slight twist after Rahul Raj Singh's former girlfriend Saloni Sharma gave her first statement, making some startling revelations. Saloni's name has been doing the rounds ever since Pratyusha's death began taking an ugly turn highlighting the pressures television actresses face including physical assault. Venting her anger over being dragged into the case, Saloni said Pratyusha came between her and Rahul's relationship.

"I let it go, but contrary to what is being written, it wasn't me but Pratyusha who was the other woman in Rahul's life. She knew about our affair and manipulated Rahul to leave me, urging him to even break all professional ties."

Saloni said Rahul has had a history of cheating on woman. He was allegedly married to Sougata Mukherjee even as he was dating Saloni.

"I wasn't aware about her for a really long time, almost three years. I found out towards the end of 2014. She was apparently abroad and only visited India twice in a year. It was easy for him to hide his marital status, I guess. When I confronted him, he said that divorce proceedings were on and their relationship was over. He said they married in 2011 and would divorce soon."

Saloni's first ever statements have raised several doubts about Pratyusha's death and the allegation of her parents on whether Rahul was responsible for the abetment of their daughter's suicide. We hope to see an end to the case which seems to be getting murkier by the day.
