If you were planning your early summer getaway this month to Dharamsala to watch the India vs Pakistan ICC World Twenty20 match, it's the worst news for you! Buckling under pressure of the local state government not providing adequate security for the players and fans coming in to Dharamsala, the ICC has just decided to shift the venue to Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The date of course remains the same - March 19.

The ICC CEO Dave Richardson announced the sudden change in venue during a press conference in New Delhi today.

Earlier, local ex-armymen had demanded the head of Pakistani militant Maulana Masood Azhar if the BCCI wanted to host the game in Dharamsala. Former Pakistan skipper and 1992 World Cup winning skipper Imran Khan had said that Pakistan team should not play in Dharamsala. Himachal Pradesh CM had earlier raised security concerns saying there is possibility of public uproar as two soldiers from the state were martyred during the Pathankot terror attack.
