Security is a big issue during this edition of the ICC World T20, and the job of the personnel involved is a thankless one. In fact one would probably not have noticed that one of them was a former sportsman himself. Meet Rajpal Singh, a traffic DSP who is responsible for the players' security at the Mohali stadium. But that is not his only identity. This man was the captain of the Indian hockey team in the 2010 Commonwealth Games and has led India to many heights in international hockey. The Arjuna Award winner is not the only sportsman in the state to join the police force. He is a group which has the likes of Harbhajan Singh, Dalip 'The Great Khali' Singh Rana and Jugraj Singh.

Even as he is watchful while doing his duty, those being protected by him have no clue as to who he is. Not that it affects him in any way. At one time the 32-year-old was the spearhead of the Indian team, before the reins were taken over by Sardar Singh. During the 2014 season, he represented Delhi Waveriders in the Hockey India League, but was mostly kept to warming the benches. The highlight of his career was leading the team to victory in the 2011 Asian Men's Hockey Champions Trophy when they beat Pakistan in the final.
