It seems like Indians have grown immune to news about women being raped and murdered. The latest victim was a 15-year-old girl from Noida who succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday after being set on fire. She was raped by a 20-year old on Monday and was set on fire. The girl, who suffered more than 90 per cent burns on her body, died a day later. The accused was later arrested by police.

The incident, which happened on the eve of International Women's Day, largely went under-reported and hardly evoked any protest like what the national capital saw following the brutal gang rape of a paramedical student on December 16, 2012.
