The inaugural Indian Super League (ISL) starts on the 12th of October and the excitement is growing every day. Could the ISL turn India into a respectable soccer nation with a fighting chance to qualify for the next world cup? Maybe not! At least not in the short term but one thing is certain the ISL will enable young Indian players to engage with superstars such as Del Piero and Pires and that can be a huge boost to Indian football.
