Canada is the best country in the world, according to millennials. It is followed by Germany the No. 2 and the United Kingdom at No. 3 on Best Country based on overall performance. The ranking was released by Washington based U.S. News & World Report, based on feedbacks from thousands of millennials (between the age group of 18-35) around the world, assessing a wide range of criteria, from dating culture to career development.

Here are the top five countries chosen by millennials based on overall performance.

In the list of 60 countries, India is ranked 23.

For the young generation, Australia is the Best Country to Live, followed by Canada at and Italy. India is ranked 38 under this category.

Surprisingly China took the top spot when it came to the Best Country to start a career, followed by Germany, US, UK and Canada. India's ranking stood at 19 in the list.

India's best performance in the ranking is under countries with best economic potential. The country is ranked second, topped only by Thailand. Brazil, Japan and Singapore completes the top five in the category.
