In an operation inspired by Bollywood film Airlift, Jet Airways is moving hundreds of its passengers stranded in Brussels after the recent terror attacks in the Belgian capital.
They transferred their passengers to Amsterdam in fifteen buses late Wednesday night. The Jet Airbus A-330s that had flown to Brussels before the horrific blasts happened will be flown as ferry flights (without passengers) to Amsterdam. They would then take the passengers to Delhi, Mumbai and Toronto.
In a fantastic move by Jet, they also flew the relatives of their two injured cabin crew members to Brussels.
Tweets by the external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj suggest that she has been in touch with the chairman of Jet Airways all along.
Chairman @jetairways Naresh Goyal has spoken to me. He hs assured that all Jet passengers will be transferred to Amsterdam today itself. /1
