In late June this year, reports began to circulate suggesting Iceland will pay $5,000 per month to immigrants for marrying Icelandic women due to the shortage of men. However, it turned out to be a hoax. The numerous stories that went viral on the subject literally gave women hell - they were spammed with friend requests by men who started to dream big (possibly naughty) dreams of having a fulfilling life ahead. The bubble bursts so cruelly sometimes, you can't help but wonder: Is there even a purpose to life? Amirite?
